I enlisted the help of some of my customers to make samples using patterns & fabrics that I currently carry in my shop. I have gotten a few back and wanted to share them with you.
First up is a sample of the quilt pattern - He Zigs, She Zags by Prairie Grass Patterns
This quilt top was sewn by the very lovely Kristen of K*D Quilts.
Kristen wrote about her experience with this pattern HERE.
The sample features fresh fabric from the Summertime Collection by Barbara Jones and Bella Solid in White.
Next up we have The Monique Dress by Sew Serendipity.
This gorgeous dress was sewn by Mika of Froggy Girl Designs.
It features Bazaar Style fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics.
I also received this super cute dress made from the Naomi pattern by ModKid.
This sweet little dress was sewn by Andrea from Thomas Park Gifts. It feautres fabrics from the Honey Child collection by Jennifer Paganelli of Sis Boom.
I would like to thank Kristen, Mika & Andrea for making these samples that are currently on display in my brick and mortar shop. I truly appreciate your time and the gorgeous work.

Many of you know that I love working with selvedges. I have made pin cushions, place mats, aprons etc… all made with selvedges. Now I want to see what your creative minds come up with while working with selvedges.

WOW, first off I can’t believe that it has been over a month since I posted here. Shame on me. Well you are about to be rewarded for my neglegence.
I am sending you on a little Scavenger Hunt, an Easter Egg Hunt if you will.

I have hidden 4 eggs throughout the listings in my
ETSY SHOP.
They look similar to this
You will have to search through the listings to find the egg. Each egg has a different discount applied to it. In order to redeem the discount you will need to place your order AND in the
“Note to Seller” section tell me the amount of the discount AND what listing you found it in. I will then refund you the discount amount plus any significant shipping overages.
A couple rules {you know there has to be a few right?}
1. Only 1 discount per customer.
2. Discounts will be applied on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. Once a particular egg has been redeened it can not be used again by someone else. {I will remove the eggs once they have been redeemed)
3. You must include the name of the listing you found your egg in the NOTES TO SELLER section at checkout.
4. Discounts are only valid towards REGULAR PRICED items. Clearance items and discounted bulk bundles are not included.

I thought I would organize a little Fabric Swap with all my fabric obsessed friends (THATS YOU). Here is the low-down.
Basically I will partner each of you up. You are responsible for putting together your fabric and shipping it to your partner. When you email me to participate please let me know if you prefer US Shipping or International Shipping (meaning you would prefer to only ship within the US or you will gladly ship Internationally).
So dig through your stash and find some (or one) great print(s) that you are willing to part with. It could be a hard to find print, out of production print, brand spanking new print or maybe even a vintage print. Something that is clean and usable. Give something you would enjoy receiving yourself. All packages should be post marked by Dec 24, 2010.
I have participated in a few swaps in the past and have been very pleased with the results. I have always gotten a fabric I didn’t have in my current stash so it was a fun surprise.
I hope that you will join us. Give the gift of FABRIC this holiday season!
